Collaborative councils focused on industry-specific topics of interest, NHDA's four councils, Women in Home Delivery, Advocacy, Risk Management, and Sustainability, bring together members to share expertise and drive the conversation forward in their respective areas.

Women in Home Delivery Council

Co Chairs: Luisa Solana, RXO and Allison Rodgers, Rodgers Advisory

The Women in Home Delivery Council promotes opportunities and connections for women leaders in the bulky goods final-mile industry. Programming includes presentations by women business leaders sharing their journeys in the home delivery industry, along with networking receptions at industry conferences including Home Delivery World. The council maintains a strategic partnership with Women in Trucking, and is committed to building a strong, visible network of women shaping the future of the industry.

Risk Management Council

Co Chairs: Peter Berg, TrueNorth Companies and Rocky Rodgers, Moseley Marcinak Law Group

The Risk Management Council brings together legal, insurance, and risk management experts to serve as a resource for NHDA members and a focal point for programming on this critical industry challenge. The council regularly presents on managing insurance costs, technology innovations, reducing operational risk, and navigating compliance challenges. Its work helps members stay ahead of an increasingly complex risk landscape.

Advocacy Council

Co Chairs: Prasad Sharma, Scopelitis and Sarah Wellman, Ryder Systems

The Advocacy Council provides a framework for NHDA members to engage collectively in the federal, state, and regulatory arenas on behalf of the home delivery industry. The council focuses on legislative and regulatory matters including employer misclassification, preserving the independent contractor model, and reducing risk and liability exposure. It works directly on behalf of members, through like-minded coalitions and trade groups, and maintains a strategic partnership with the Coalition for Workforce Innovation.

Sustainability Council

Co Chairs: Emily Phillips, E.MISSION Advisory and Angela Hargesheimer, Ryder Systems

The demands of retailers, the expectations of investors, and the need to be part of the solution on climate change have elevated sustainability to a core operational priority for final-mile logistics. The Sustainability Council provides strategies, insights, and access to experts to help members meet this critical challenge, maintaining a strategic partnership with SmartWay. Its work ensures members stay ahead of evolving environmental expectations across the industry.
