NHDA Accreditation – Accredited Final Mile Professional (AFMP)

Setting the Standard for Excellence in Final Mile Delivery

The Accredited Final Mile Professional (AFMP) program recognizes independent contractor delivery professionals who have completed industry-approved training designed to strengthen the knowledge, skills, and professionalism of delivery teams and drivers. Through industry-developed standards, education, and performance benchmarks, AFMP equips delivery professionals with the tools needed to operate safely, compliantly, and effectively in today's complex final mile environment.

By engaging those who have earned the AFMP designation, carriers can demonstrate their commitment to professional development and operational excellence while building stronger delivery teams. AFMP-certified professionals stand out as trained and knowledgeable delivery partners capable of strengthening carrier operations and providing 3PLs, retailers, and consumers with greater confidence in the people representing their brands at the point of delivery.

Why AFMP Matters

The final mile is often the only direct interaction a customer has with a retailer's brand. The AFMP program provides a trusted, industry-backed framework that promotes:

Safer Delivery Operations

Greater Consistency & Accountability

Improved Customer Experiences

Reduced Operational & Compliance Risk

A Stronger, More Professional Workforce

Industry-wide Standards for Service Excellence

Accreditation serves as a signal to customers, retailers, logistics providers, and business partners that companies and final mile professionals meet recognized standards for performance and professionalism.
