Shannon Huffman Polson was one of the Army's first female attack helicopter pilots and one of the first women to climb Denali. She went on to apply her leadership skills in the corporate world for Microsoft and Guidant. After her experience in the military and the boardroom, she decided to interview dozens of the top women in the military for a book called, "The Grit Factor: Courage, Resilience, and Leadership in the Most Male-Dominated Organization in the World."
